Which size should I order in the Bella+Canvas 3001?

Short answer: measure a tee you like, compare two numbers to the chart, and pick the closest size. If you are between sizes, go up.

The two numbers

  1. Lay your favorite tee flat.
  2. Measure A straight across the chest from one armpit seam to the other.
  3. Measure B from the top of the shoulder next to the collar down to the hem.
  4. Find the row on the size guide closest to your two numbers.

How the 3001 fits

The Bella+Canvas 3001 is a unisex retail fit. That means slimmer through the body than a boxy work tee, but not tight. It is a light 4.2 oz fabric that drapes rather than stands up. Most people order the size they wear in other retail-fit tees. If you like a looser, longer look, size up one.

Why some colors skip sizes

Each color is stocked in a different range of sizes by our print partner. Black covers XS to 4XL. White and Athletic Heather cover S to 3XL. Most colors cover S to 2XL. A few, like Heather Prism Lilac or Mustard, have one or two sizes only. The size picker on each product page shows the real list for the color you clicked. If your size is missing in one color, try another light or dark color with the same panel behavior.

Shrinkage

Cotton shrinks a little in hot water and high heat. Wash cold and dry low and the numbers on the chart hold. If you plan to run it hot anyway, size up.

You can return an unworn shirt within the window on our Returns and Refunds page and order the next size. Because every shirt is printed to order, placing the new order right away is faster than waiting for an exchange.
